Very occasionally Epi Wonk will write about academic freedom in the epidemiology community, at schools of public health, medical centers, state health departments, and in Federal agencies, such as the CDC. I will discuss instances of epidemiologists having their academic freedom curtailed by authorities and (believe or not) epidemiologists attempting to limit the academic freedom of other scholars.
